Research Experience:

  • Sediment coring and water sampling in Bien Ho lake, Central Highlands of Vietnam, March-April 2021: The coring expedition to Biển Hồ occurred in March-April 2021. Our team recovered parallel sediment cores with an overall length of up to 25 m, covering the last ca. 60,000 years.
  • Initial core analyses including core photography, subsampling, sedimentology, grain size, loss-on-ignition, mineralogical composition (XRD), for 2016-2018 sediment cores in the EOS laboratory at VNU.
  • Scientific report at the “2021 Conference on Student and Science Research – VNU University of Science”: Temperature variations of Biển Hồ lake water column deduced from the 2020-2021 observations (awarded with a third prize).
  • Scientific report at the “2022 Conference on Student and Science Research – VNU University of Science”: Paleoclimatology of Holocene sediment from Biển Hồ maar lake, Vietnam’s Central Highlands (awarded with a third prize).
